Busy Philipps reveals Laurie hopes

Busy Philipps has revealed that she wants there to be both comedy and drama in the second season of Cougar Town.

Speaking to DS, Philipps explained that she does not know how long the relationship between Smith (Ryan Devlin) and her character Laurie will last.

“I think she’s going to feel too hemmed in,” she said. “I think she’s going to need to break free and have fun.”

Philipps added that she expects the fact that Laurie and Grayson slept together to emerge in the new season.

“We’re definitely going to have to revisit the whole Grayson [and] Laurie situation,” she said. “I think it’s going to have to come into play next season. So we’ll see what happens there. Hopefully it will be comedy and drama.”
